Hello, my name is Anthony Smith, I have been asked to share my testimony, specifically addressing two questions: (1) What passions or experiences inspire you to take part in Community of Christ? And (2) What would you be excited to do and/or see as we step forward as a community?
Let me start by briefly sharing that I was baptized and confirmed two years ago after having began my journey with “Sharing Love in Mission” (SLIM) congregation. Recently I was ordained to the office of priest in Community of Christ.
To take part in Community of Christ, I am inspired by the sense of community felt at a local and world church level, also I am inspired and passionate about the work of building the kingdom of God.
I am excited to see our church move forward as we continue to grow, being ever so nurtured by the Spirit and the call placed on each of our lives.
