Pursue Peace on Earth
We proclaim Christ as the “Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6) and, as Christians, we seek to establish God’s peaceable kingdom on earth (Isaiah 11:6-9). True peace is not simply the absence of war and violence, but also includes overturning unjust systems. In promoting this initiative, we seek to become true agents of Christ’s peace in the world.

Rising religious intolerance (including Islamophobia and anti-Semitism) inspired members to create the Encounter World Religions Centre, as a means to overturn bigotry through education. Participants of the annual Discover Week learn about the religions of the world and then meet the diverse adherents in their own mosques, synagogues, gurdwaras, temples, and churches.
To fight bigotry against the LGBTQ+ communities, church members founded Harmony, which works to allow our congregations to become truly affirming and welcoming.
